Vietnam’s seafood industry is strengthening its position in global markets as Vietfish 2026 brings together producers, buyers, technology providers, logistics companies and other supply-chain partners in Ho Chi Minh City. The three-day exhibition features 568 booths from Vietnam and 18 other countries and territories, highlighting innovation, sustainability and higher-value seafood production.
The event reflects the industry’s shift from volume-driven growth toward advanced processing, traceability, automation and integrated value chains. Vietnam’s seafood exports reached US$11.3 billion in 2025, while exports in the first seven months of 2026 climbed to nearly US$6.9 billion, up 12.8% year on year despite higher freight costs and changing trade policies.
A new Hosted Buyer programme is also connecting international importers directly with Vietnamese seafood businesses, including visits to farms and processing facilities in the Mekong Delta. This is helping strengthen buyer confidence while creating opportunities for long-term trade partnerships.
With the country targeting US$12 billion in seafood exports, Vietfish 2026 is positioning Vietnam’s seafood sector for stronger international growth. Greater investment in sustainable production, technology, logistics and value-added processing could further improve the industry’s competitiveness and resilience across global supply chains.
