Saudi Arabia is strengthening its maritime industry capabilities through a new collaboration focused on developing local manufacturing capacity and building a stronger supply chain for future naval projects.
A partnership agreement has been established to support the development and localization of engine technologies, production capabilities, and supply chain infrastructure for a next-generation naval vessel project. The initiative brings together international shipbuilding expertise with local industrial resources to enhance Saudi Arabia’s maritime manufacturing ecosystem.
Under the cooperation framework, the shipbuilding partner will contribute design expertise and technology development, while the local engine manufacturing facility will support production infrastructure, facilities, and workforce development.
The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to expand domestic industries, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and develop a more integrated maritime supply chain.
Through continued investment in shipbuilding, engineering, and local supplier networks, the collaboration aims to create new opportunities for industrial growth and strengthen the country’s role in the global maritime sector.
