The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between the two organisations in international trade, export development, capacity building, trade facilitation, market intelligence, training, research, and global business connectivity.

Under the proposed collaboration, ITC and SGEPC will explore initiatives designed to equip exporters with the knowledge, resources, and connections needed to compete effectively in global markets. Areas of cooperation may include joint training programmes, webinars, knowledge-sharing initiatives, trade events, research activities, certification opportunities, and access to relevant international trade resources.

The partnership will also focus on strengthening export readiness and building practical capabilities in areas such as international trade finance, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), market entry strategies, trade compliance, and commercial dispute mediation and resolution.

By combining their respective networks and expertise, ITC and SGEPC aim to support both emerging and established exporters in identifying new market opportunities, developing international business relationships, and strengthening their global competitiveness.

Advancing International Trade and Export Opportunities
The MoU represents a shared commitment to fostering greater cooperation between trade organisations and creating an enabling environment for businesses seeking to expand beyond domestic markets.

Mr. Tarun Dewan, Executive Director of SGEPC, has played a role in advancing this collaboration, alongside Ms. Dhriti Mukherjee Pipil, Chairperson of the International Trade Council in India. Their engagement reflects the importance of institutional partnerships in supporting exporters and facilitating stronger connections between Indian businesses and the international trade community.

The International Trade Council looks forward to working with SGEPC to develop meaningful initiatives that support exporters, encourage knowledge exchange, and create opportunities for sustainable growth across India’s sports goods and toys industries.
