JATCO, a company jointly owned by Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, and Suzuki, has announced an upgrade to its network infrastructure using Juniper’s AI-enhanced Wi-Fi technology. This upgrade aims to enhance efficiency and connectivity across the company’s operations, addressing challenges related to an aging network.
Tomohisa Kobayashi, Manager of the Digital Solution Department at JATCO Ltd., highlighted the significance of this upgrade for the IT department, noting that it allows them to meet Wi-Fi demands that were previously constrained by budget and equipment limitations. He praised Juniper’s Mist platform for its user-friendly interface, which provides valuable insights into user experiences and proactively resolves issues, thereby reducing wait times for users.
The deployment of Juniper’s Mist AI platform, including the AP43 and AP63 access points, aims to resolve frequent troubleshooting and network inefficiencies. This new system simplifies operations by minimizing configuration errors and enhancing troubleshooting through AI-driven insights, enabling IT staff to focus on innovation rather than maintenance.
Hiroyuki Ishida, Area Vice President for Japan at Juniper Networks, expressed pride in supporting JATCO’s digital transformation and cloud-based business reforms. He emphasized that the AI-Native Networking Platform would help JATCO maintain its reputation for delivering high-quality automotive products while enhancing end-user connectivity.
Feedback on the network upgrade at JATCO’s back-office locations has been positive, and the company plans to implement the Juniper AI-Native Networking Platform across its entire network, which comprises 12 sites throughout Japan. Discussions are also underway to integrate the Marvis Virtual Network Assistant to further enhance automation and user experience.
