Vietnam’s President and Communist Party General Secretary To Lam is planning a series of international visits this month, reflecting the country’s efforts to strengthen economic and diplomatic connections with major global partners.
The planned visits to France, the United States, and Canada are expected to support discussions across areas including trade, energy, infrastructure, technology, and investment. In France, Lam is also expected to attend an international space summit, while his United States visit will include participation in the United Nations General Assembly.
For Vietnam’s export-oriented economy, stronger international relationships can support market access, investment flows, infrastructure development, and supply chain connectivity. Engagement with major economies may also help Vietnamese businesses expand commercial networks and strengthen links with global production and logistics systems.
