India is advancing the future of healthcare supply chains through a new collaboration to study the use of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for medical logistics. The initiative will assess how advanced air mobility can support the rapid transport of time-sensitive medical supplies, particularly in congested urban areas where road delays can impact emergency response.
The feasibility study will evaluate the operational, infrastructure, and regulatory requirements needed to integrate eVTOL aircraft into India’s logistics ecosystem. By combining aviation expertise, advanced air mobility technology, and local market knowledge, the project aims to improve last-mile medical deliveries while strengthening the country’s healthcare logistics network.
If successful, eVTOL operations could reduce transit times for critical medical shipments, enhance supply chain resilience, and support the development of faster, smarter, and more sustainable logistics solutions for healthcare across India.
