Firmus, a leader in pre-construction AI design review and risk analysis, has announced a significant new round of financing. This funding round, led by Navitas Capital, also saw participation from Heartland Ventures, PiLabs, and Unorthodox Ventures. The raised capital aims to enhance Firmus’ AI-driven capabilities, expand system integrations, and deepen market penetration.
Founded in 2019, Firmus specializes in scanning construction documents to detect issues such as incomplete designs and discrepancies. Their AI software, tailored for commercial construction projects, increases efficiency and accuracy, thereby mitigating risks. Since its North American launch in 2022, Firmus has rapidly gained a robust client base through its user-friendly cloud-based platform. Users can upload their PDF drawing sets and receive detailed reports on detected issues via an interactive dashboard, allowing for better-informed decision-making and efficient issue management.
Shir Abecasis, Founder and CEO of Firmus, expressed excitement over the new investment, highlighting its potential to accelerate innovation and platform expansion. Abecasis emphasized the company’s commitment to transforming the pre-construction landscape with AI-driven clarity and precision.
Travis Putnam, Managing Partner at Navitas Capital, lauded Firmus for its technical prowess and innovative approach to construction design data. He noted that Firmus’ AI capabilities position the company to deliver next-level automation in design review, significantly influencing construction project efficiency.
The additional funding will enable Firmus to expand its coverage and reach more general contractors, developers, and AEC communities, reinforcing its position as a market leader in AI-driven pre-construction risk management.
