The third annual Women in Supply Chain Forum registration is now open, and The Supply Chain Network is thrilled to announce this. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta from November 12–13. Leaders from the supply chain industry, including shippers, distribution centers, warehouses, and third-party logistics firms, will come together for this professional meeting. Top-level executives, including CEOs, Presidents, Partners, VPs, and Directors, are expected to benefit from the forum’s role as a catalyst for their professional development, advancement, and networking.
The Women in Supply Chain Forum is more than simply a forum; it’s a movement that aims to dismantle stereotypes and create a welcoming atmosphere where executives, male or female, can grow their professional networks and deepen their industry expertise. The forum will examine the crucial role that women play in the supply chain through lively panel discussions and interactive workshops, emphasizing topics of collaboration, mentoring, and self-advocacy.
Over the course of one and a half days, the event will include a full schedule of engaging panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities aimed at promoting conversations about reducing the gender gap and elevating female leadership in supply chain management and logistics. Participants will be put to the test in an interactive session called Supply Chain Jeopardy on a variety of topics related to the supply chain, such as software solutions, warehousing, transportation, and the historical achievements made by women in this industry.
Keynote Speaker Jennifer Kobus, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Operations at Ulta Beauty, will highlight the event by talking about the importance of advocacy, diversity, equity, and inclusion topics, and corporate culture in the supply chain sector. Together with the recipients of the Women in Supply Chain award, Sarah Barnes-Humphrey, a well-known member of the supply chain community and host of the Let’s Talk Supply Chain podcast, will also offer her insights on the value of self-advocacy and defining career objectives.
The forum is committed to fostering a community of support for women working in logistics by providing a space for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and fostering strong professional connections. It highlights the teamwork needed to break down conventional boundaries and pave the way for future female leaders in the supply chain industry.
To commemorate and celebrate the accomplishments of women in the supply chain sector, the Supply Chain Network has also opened submissions for the 2024 Women in Supply Chain award. New categories, including Rising Stars, Trailblazers, DEI Pioneers, and Workforce Innovators, have been added.
