South Korea is strengthening its logistics infrastructure with a KRW10.5 billion ($7.8 million) programme to accelerate automation and digitalisation among logistics companies operating around Busan New Port.
The initiative will support AI, automated equipment, integrated logistics platforms, and IoT technologies, helping improve operational efficiency, cargo handling, visibility, and supply-chain reliability.
The programme will run through 2028, with the government covering up to 70% of approved project costs. Five companies will receive support, including up to $2.3 million for selected innovation projects.
The investment reinforces South Korea’s wider push toward smarter, more connected logistics infrastructure, strengthening efficiency and supporting Busan’s role as a major regional trade hub.
