China’s foreign trade maintained strong growth in the first seven months of 2026, with total goods imports and exports reaching 30.13 trillion yuan ($4.46 trillion), up 17.3% year on year.
The growth highlights continued momentum across China’s international trade and supply chain activity, supported by rising demand for technology-intensive products.
High-tech exports were a major contributor in July, with shipments of products such as industrial robots and 3D printers increasing by more than 50% year on year. These products accounted for nearly 60% of the month’s total increase in exports.
The strong performance reflects the growing role of advanced manufacturing, automation and technology products in China’s export structure. Rising shipments of higher-value goods are also strengthening connections between manufacturing centers and international markets.
The latest trade figures point to continued resilience in global supply chains, while the expansion of technology-driven exports signals opportunities for manufacturers, logistics providers and trading partners across international markets.
