Mike Stephenson, Chairman of ILG, expressed optimism about the acquisition, stating, “This new acquisition allows us to leverage GFS’s leading multi-carrier technology and services, enhancing ILG’s offerings to our fulfilment and delivery clients while supporting our growth plans in both domestic and international markets.”

GFS, established over two decades ago, serves some of the UK’s prominent high street brands, providing streamlined access to over 1,000 shipping lanes across 220 countries. The company specializes in offering e-commerce businesses automated multi-carrier shipping solutions, from order processing to final delivery and reverse logistics. Their advanced multi-carrier Enterprise Carrier Management (ECM) technology enhances customer satisfaction by providing a wide array of delivery options, comprehensive tracking capabilities, and user-friendly return processes. These features are designed to improve checkout conversion rates, decrease cart abandonment, and foster repeat purchases.

In a statement, ILG emphasized that, initially, both ILG and GFS will continue to operate as independent entities. However, the companies plan to integrate their operations gradually to offer customers the unique advantages of GFS’s delivery technology in the near future.

ILG’s acquisition of GFS marks a significant milestone in its expansion strategy, reflecting its commitment to enhancing its service offerings and meeting the evolving needs of its clientele. By integrating GFS’s advanced delivery technology and services, ILG aims to strengthen its position in the fulfilment and delivery sector, delivering enhanced value to its customers.

The acquisition also underscores ILG’s strategic focus on leveraging technological innovation to drive growth and improve operational efficiency. By harnessing GFS’s expertise and capabilities, ILG is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the dynamic logistics landscape.

As ILG and GFS embark on this new phase of their partnership, customers can expect to benefit from a broader range of delivery options, improved tracking capabilities, and enhanced overall service quality. The integration of GFS’s delivery technology into ILG’s operations is expected to yield synergies that will ultimately translate into a superior customer experience.

ILG remains committed to delivering excellence in fulfilment and delivery services, and the acquisition of GFS represents a strategic step towards achieving this goal. With a shared commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, ILG and GFS are poised to drive positive outcomes for their clients and stakeholders alike.
