The UAE’s logistics sector is showing resilience amid disruptions to regional trade flows, with global cargo networks continuing to expand and adapt.
Logistics revenue reached $12.7 billion in the first half of 2026, up 13.1% year on year, while container volumes outside the Jebel Ali gateway increased 6.5% across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
Expanded inland connectivity and plans for two new terminals in Fujairah are expected to provide additional routing options and strengthen the UAE’s trade infrastructure.
The developments highlight a broader supply chain trend: diversified logistics networks, alternative routes and new infrastructure are helping businesses maintain cargo flows and build resilience amid global uncertainty.
