in Supply Chain

Avnet has officially opened a new integration facility in Singapore to strengthen its supply chain operations and expand localized support capabilities for customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The new site is expected to enhance the company’s regional integration services while providing additional flexibility for businesses managing increasingly complex global supply chain networks.

The Singapore facility marks the sixth global integration center operated by Avnet Integrated Solutions, adding to the company’s existing network of facilities located in the United States, Mexico, Germany, and China. Through this expansion, Avnet aims to strengthen its ability to support customers through a connected multi-region infrastructure that allows for improved coordination, streamlined operations, and greater responsiveness to changing market demands.

Located within Avnet’s existing Farnell Distribution Center in Singapore, the facility was developed to support a broad range of integration and logistics services. The site is equipped to handle system integration projects, server and rack builds, warehousing operations, repair services, and international shipping requirements for customers operating across multiple industries. The facility also includes a dedicated first article laboratory and specialized integration space designed to accommodate future growth as regional demand continues to increase.

The company stated that the expansion reflects growing customer demand for more localized and flexible supply chain solutions throughout the APAC region. Businesses are increasingly seeking diversified sourcing and operational strategies that can improve resilience, reduce lead times, and support continuity across international markets. Avnet noted that the Singapore facility is positioned to help customers adapt to these evolving requirements by offering integration-ready solutions while maintaining existing operational workflows and partnerships.

Singapore remains one of Asia’s key logistics and trade hubs due to its advanced infrastructure, international connectivity, and strong position within global shipping and technology supply chains. By expanding operations in the country, Avnet intends to strengthen its ability to support both regional distribution customers and multinational operations that require scalable integration and logistics capabilities across different markets.

The new integration center spans approximately 670 square meters, or more than 7,200 square feet, and was intentionally designed with expansion capacity in mind. The site includes warehousing space, repair operations, testing capabilities, and areas dedicated to system assembly and configuration. Avnet said the layout allows the company to scale operations efficiently as customer requirements continue to evolve.

In addition to operational capabilities, the facility has also achieved certification under Singapore Customs’ Secure Trade Partnership (STP) program, which recognizes organizations that maintain strong trade compliance and supply chain security standards. Avnet also confirmed that the Singapore site is pursuing ISO 9001 certification as part of its broader quality management and operational improvement initiatives.

Company officials stated that the new facility is expected to improve regional responsiveness by enabling faster access to localized services, competitive operational cost structures, and improved delivery timelines for customers throughout Asia-Pacific and other global markets. The company added that expanding its integration footprint in Singapore aligns with its long-term strategy of investing in strategic supply chain locations that can support growth, operational efficiency, and customer flexibility.

Avnet said the Singapore expansion will further strengthen its role in supporting technology distribution, integration services, and supply chain management solutions for customers navigating rapidly evolving market conditions and growing operational complexity across global industries.
