SkyUp, a well-recognized airline brand, has recently implemented an advanced aviation security risk management system developed by Osprey Flight Solutions. This strategic move underscores the airline’s commitment to ensuring the highest level of security in its operational activities, particularly considering the rapid changes in global security dynamics. Osprey Flight Solutions’ system offers an end-to-end solution for aviation security risk management, extending from pre-takeoff preparations to post-landing procedures.
The integrated system combines the latest technology with expert human analysis, enabling swift identification, corroboration, and classification of various incidents and events that could impact flight operations. Dmytro Seroukhov, General Director at SkyUp, emphasized the company’s dedication to protecting passengers, staff, suppliers, and assets. “Implementing this state-of-the-art software and aligning with global best practices is fundamental to our operational ethos,” he said. Seroukhov also expressed satisfaction in partnering with Osprey, a leader in flight safety, security, and risk management. The implementation of the Osprey system at SkyUp included comprehensive staff training, and the system now serves as a key decision-making tool for the airline.
Its features include adaptable data collection, predictive intelligence, automated notifications, and priority flagging. The system operates continuously, monitoring for changes and instantly adjusting risk assessments, thus enabling timely decisions about route adjustments, flight schedules, and other operational considerations. Andrew Nicholson, CEO of Osprey Flight Solutions, welcomed SkyUp as a valuable partner, commending their commitment to safety and efficiency. “Through our Risk Intelligence solutions, we aim to set new standards in aviation safety and operational excellence,” he remarked. Martin Rossiter from Gallagher Aerospace, SkyUp’s airline insurance broker, highlighted the importance of Osprey’s threat intelligence platform in enhancing SkyUp’s risk profile.
He mentioned that their role includes presenting SkyUp positively to the global aviation insurance market to secure advantageous insurance terms. Gallagher Aerospace has negotiated a contribution from SkyUp’s aviation insurers to support the adoption of the Osprey platform, recognizing its role in improving operational risk management. This collaboration between Osprey and Gallagher also brings additional service benefits to SkyUp. SkyUp continues to focus on solutions that optimize operational activities, enhance passenger service quality, and strengthen partnerships. The airline has also started implementing a Passenger Service System (PSS) from IBS Software to offer greater flexibility following the resumption of regular flights. This is part of SkyUp’s systematic approach to process optimization and providing advanced support for its activities as an expanding international brand with Ukrainian roots.
