The Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA) launched Udyogyatra 2025, an initiative aimed at creating a robust ecosystem for startups, MSMEs, vyapari, and women entrepreneurs across Maharashtra. Under the leadership of MACCIA President Hon. Shri Lalit Gandhi, the initiative focuses on strengthening the local business community and contributing to Maharashtra’s economic growth.
Central to the success of the Udyogyatra 2025 is Shreekant Patil, MACCIA Committee Chairman for Startup and Cluster Development. Patil, along with key team members such as Mr. Dilip Salvekar, MACCIA Advisor, and Mr. Avinash Pathak, Secretary of North Maharashtra, has played a pivotal role in guiding the event and supporting over 500 entrepreneurs during its journey.
The Udyogyatra began on 30th January 2025, starting in Nashik and continuing to various locations across Maharashtra. The first event took place at MACCIA’s Pune office and attracted more than 50 MSMEs, with a focus on government schemes and the Startup India ecosystem. Other key figures in attendance included Mr. Dilip Gupta, Vice President of MACCIA Pune, and Mr. Anand Mittal, Chairman of the Pune Branch.
Later in the day, the Udyogyatra moved to Kolhapur, where the Kolhapur Engineering Association (KEA) hosted a second event. Over 40 entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and women entrepreneurs from the region participated, engaging with Shreekant Patil in a productive session that featured an interactive Q&A. The session highlighted Patil’s commitment to supporting emerging business leaders.
The journey continued on 31st January with a significant event at the Sindhudurg District Vyapari Mahasangh Melava in Vaibhavwadi. Addressing over 1,000 entrepreneurs, Patil shared valuable insights on the startup ecosystem and government subsidy schemes, including PMEGP, CMEGP, PMFME, CGTMSE, and NSIC. His presentation focused on how MSMEs in the Konkan region can leverage these schemes to start new businesses or scale existing ventures, in alignment with the national vision of “Viksit Bharat by 2047.”
The event was graced by Shri Nitesh Rane, Cabinet Minister in the Government of Maharashtra, and other prominent figures, including Mr. Prasad Parkar, President of Sindhudurg District Vyapari Mahasangh, and Mr. Tejas Ambekar, President of Vaibhavwadi.
In an ongoing effort to support the local economy, MACCIA has committed to conducting monthly workshops for MSMEs in the Sindhudurg region. These workshops aim to provide hands-on guidance and resources to strengthen the local business ecosystem.
Looking ahead, MACCIA plans to continue its journey across Maharashtra, bringing together leaders, experts, and keynote speakers to share knowledge with students, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs in various regions.
