Runergy Alabama Inc. has officially commenced production at its new solar module manufacturing facility in Huntsville. The factory is set to produce its first customer order in October, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the local community. The launch event featured the signing of the first module off the production line by employees, symbolizing the beginning of operations at this advanced manufacturing site.
With an anticipated annual output of 2 gigawatts, the Huntsville facility is poised to become a leading solar manufacturing site in the United States, contributing to the growth of the solar industry. “We are excited to start producing solar modules in Alabama,” said Jet Li, General Manager. “This facility not only creates new jobs and opportunities in the area but also underscores our commitment to renewable energy and supporting the nation’s clean energy objectives.”
As the first production plant in the U.S. under Runergy Group’s North American expansion plan, the facility plays a key role in establishing a domestic supply chain and enhancing the company’s global strategy.
“With the rising demand for solar energy in the U.S., we aim to meet the country’s renewable energy targets by manufacturing our solar modules locally,” said Dr. Jusong Wang, Managing Director. “Runergy Alabama will shorten lead times, decrease reliance on overseas suppliers, and provide customers with reliable access to our solar technology. The company is committed to producing high-efficiency N-type solar modules to fulfill the increasing demand for clean energy solutions while maintaining quality standards and sustainability practices.”
