Wabtec Corporation has announced strategic acquisitions to enhance its transit business, acquiring Fanox and Kompozitum for a combined $110 million. “These acquisitions bring complementary technologies to our portfolio, positioning us for accelerated, profitable growth,” said Pascal Schweitzer, President of Wabtec Transit. Fanox will boost Wabtec’s capabilities in producing specialized relays for train operations, while Kompozitum expands its pantograph solutions and opens markets for carbon and graphite applications. The transaction will be funded with cash on hand and a revolving credit facility.
PS Logistics’ subsidiary Blair Logistics has acquired Fluker Transportation, a flatbed and heavy-haul trucking company based in Hammond, Louisiana. Fluker specializes in hauling steel, construction equipment, and other heavy freight across the southeastern U.S. and will operate under the Blair Logistics name following the acquisition. Savage has been awarded the 2025 Silver Military Friendly® Employer designation for the seventh consecutive year, recognizing its commitment to hiring and supporting veterans. Nearly 10% of the Savage workforce includes military veterans, National Guard members, or military spouses, according to CEO Kirk Aubry.
Alstom has delivered the first fully automated, four-car Metropolis train to Taiwan’s Department of Rapid Transit Systems for Taipei’s Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin Line. This 14-mile line aims to enhance connectivity between Taipei and New Taipei City, providing a seamless transit option across districts such as Zhonghe, Shulin, Tucheng, and Xinzhuang. STV Inc. has opened a new 18,000-square-foot office at The Line in Charlotte, North Carolina, located near the Charlotte Area Transit System’s Blue Line light-rail extension, which STV helped design. The new location supports STV’s goal to work closely with clients and industry partners in the region.
