J&T Global Express Limited, a global logistics service provider, has published its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, highlighting its efforts and progress in sustainable development. The report covers initiatives across green logistics, social welfare, corporate governance, and technological innovation.
Green Logistics Initiatives
J&T Express has continued to enhance its green management practices throughout its logistics network. In 2024, the company made strides in green transportation, packaging, and energy use. Notably, J&T Express constructed its first self-built smart supply chain industrial park in Baoying, Jiangsu, China, incorporating 74,000 square meters of rooftop photovoltaic panels. By the end of December 2024, the park generated 1,089,760 kWh of photovoltaic power, helping to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 7,880 tons annually.
In terms of green transportation, J&T Express implemented a “four-in-one” model that includes fuel consumption management, energy-saving driver training, and optimized transportation structures. In Vietnam, the company set a target to reduce fuel consumption by 1 liter per 100 kilometers across all vehicle models. In China, J&T Express invested in 4,401 aluminum-made trailers for its self-operated trucks, reducing weight and increasing energy efficiency. Additionally, the company introduced 1,327 LNG clean energy vehicles in China, increasing the proportion of LNG vehicles to 26% of its fleet.
J&T Express has also expanded its green packaging initiatives. The company introduced reusable transit bags, fully degradable waterproof bags, and eco-friendly packaging materials across multiple markets. In 2024, over 799,000 reusable transit bags were deployed, marking an 80.7% year-on-year increase.
Employee Safety and Social Welfare
The company remains focused on employee safety, investing in training programs to ensure a safe working environment. In 2024, J&T Express conducted 57,464 safety training sessions with over 1 million participants.
J&T Express also supported local communities through various social welfare projects. In Vietnam, the company assisted farmers with e-commerce training and product promotion. In Brazil, it delivered 300 tons of relief materials to flood-affected areas. The company also launched initiatives in Indonesia to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), offering 300 million Indonesian Rupiah in business funding. In the Philippines and Thailand, J&T Express contributed educational resources to schools and supported scholarship programs for outstanding students.
Corporate Governance and Information Security
J&T Express emphasized its commitment to transparency and corporate governance by strengthening its anti-corruption and anti-bribery measures. In 2024, the company completed 94,146 global anti-corruption training sessions.
On the information security front, J&T Express expanded its security measures across multiple regions. The company passed certifications for ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 in various countries, including China, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, reinforcing its global data protection framework.
Technological Advancements
In November 2024, J&T Express achieved a milestone, surpassing 100 million daily parcel deliveries globally. The company has also begun integrating drones and unmanned vehicles into its logistics operations to enhance efficiency. These advancements reflect J&T Express’s commitment to technological innovation and sustainable growth.
