The Philippines and Japan have activated a defense logistics agreement designed to improve the reciprocal provision of supplies and services between their armed forces.
Effective August 22, the agreement establishes procedures for sharing supplies and services, including arrangements for joint military exercises and humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations.
The framework is expected to support more coordinated logistics planning and improve the movement and availability of essential supplies during joint activities. It also strengthens operational connectivity between the two countries as their broader strategic partnership develops.
The agreement adds to existing cooperation between Manila and Tokyo and highlights the growing importance of coordinated logistics networks in supporting regional preparedness and efficient resource movement.
