The Quantum Brain Research Institute (QBRI), an Estonia-based leader in neuroscience-centric innovation, has been officially selected to participate in the Integrated Baltic Ecosystem for Social Innovation (IBESI) through its Impact Valley Accelerator Program. This significant collaboration represents a notable advance in the field of mental health innovation, showcasing QBRI’s dedication to employing cutting-edge technologies to tackle societal challenges effectively.

IBESI, a project initiated under Horizon Europe by the European Commission, aims to enhance visibility and improve accessibility for social entrepreneurs across the Baltic States. QBRI’s involvement in this program underscores the institute’s trailblazing efforts to transform mental health care by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

The selection of QBRI into the IBESI program followed a comprehensive evaluation by a consortium of leading organizations, including Katalista Ventures, the Baltic Innovation Agency, Reach for Change, and Social Enterprise Estonia, with support from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA).

QBRI’s mission is to leverage technological advancements to confront mental health issues head-on and drive social innovation. The institute’s pioneering use of AI, Blockchain, and IoT aims to overhaul mental health care provision, offering secure, transparent access to patient data and personalized interventions that meet the individual needs of each patient. A notable aspect of QBRI’s approach is the application of Web3.0 technologies to revolutionize Electronic Health Records (EHR), enabling a more effective, patient-focused model of treatment and research.

Particularly, the use of Blockchain technology, powered by the KATLAS Network, ensures enhanced security, privacy, and portability of sensitive health data, fostering a trust-based relationship between patients and healthcare providers.

QBRI’s inclusion in the IBESI program is more than a technological achievement; it signifies a shift in how mental health challenges are approached and addresses the need for social innovation. By bringing together diverse stakeholders from both public and private sectors, this initiative encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and the sharing of knowledge, setting the stage for a future that is both resilient and empathetic.

Estonia’s role as a frontrunner in digital innovation is further solidified through initiatives like IBESI, which highlight the nation’s commitment to utilizing technology for the betterment of society. QBRI’s selection for participation in IBESI marks a transformative step forward in redefining mental health care and promoting societal change on an international scale.

For additional information about QBRI’s involvement in IBESI and its endeavors to revolutionize mental health care with innovative technology, interested parties are encouraged to visit the Quantum Brain Research Institute’s official website.

About Quantum Brain Research Institute: Located in Tallinn, Estonia, the Quantum Brain Research Institute stands at the forefront of utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to transform mental health care. About IBESI: The Integrated Baltic Ecosystem for Social Innovation is dedicated to increasing awareness and facilitating access for social entrepreneurs in the Baltic States.
