The Supply Chain Council has launched a new group aimed at uniting business and labor to support American jobs, invest in domestic infrastructure, and safeguard supply chains.
This bipartisan advocacy group seeks to protect the U.S. economy from global instability by fostering cooperation between different sectors. According to Supply Chain Council CEO Josh Wood, the group’s goal is to provide a unified voice at various governmental levels to ensure a strong and resilient national supply chain.
Wood emphasized the importance of the supply chain to the U.S. economy, stating, “Its strength determines the strength of every industry and job in our country. We’re excited about working with partners in the public and private sectors to ensure the national supply chain is both strong and resilient.”
The Supply Chain Council is a national organization that aims to unify various sectors of the supply chain, from ports to consumers. Its mission is to develop and promote best practices and public policies at federal, state, and local levels to ensure resilient supply chains in a rapidly changing global environment.
Steven Hussain, Supply Chain Council Board Member and Prologis SVP, highlighted the collaborative approach of the group, stating, “It’s vital that we come together to protect and support the engine that drives America forward. Everyone has a part to play. We look forward to working collaboratively to find common ground and advance common-sense solutions that will strengthen our economy and help people and businesses get the products they need.”
