Ghana Investment & Trade Week 2026 Concludes with Record Participation, Over 1,000 B2B Meetings and Landmark MOU Signings

Accra, Ghana, 15 July 2026 – The 7th edition of Ghana Investment & Trade Week (GITW) 2026, co-located with the 4 th Edition Africa Build Show (ABS) and the 3rd Edition Megawatt Africa, under the patronage of Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Special Guest of Honour concluded successfully on 9 July 2026
at The Palms Convention Centre in Accra, closing three days of high-level dialogue, structured business matchmaking, and cross-border dealmaking that reaffirmed Ghana’s position as West Africa’s leading gateway for investment and trade.
Held under the theme “Powering Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy: Integrating Infrastructure, Electric Mobility, and Sustainable Real Estate for Investment and Trade Competitiveness,” the 2026 edition united government, traditional leadership, industry, and international investors around Ghana’s long-term economic transformation agenda, delivering record
participation across the three co-located shows.

    Ga Mantse Leads the Prestigious Opening Ceremony
    The event opened under the partronage of Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Special Guest of Honour the chairmanship of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and Conference Chairperson, whose leadership underscored the growing collaboration between traditional authority, government, and the
    private sector in driving national development. As Paramount King of the Ga State, His Royal Majesty has consistently championed investment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth. In his opening address, he welcomed international delegates and called for stronger global collaboration to position Ghana as the leading gateway for investment
    and trade in West Africa.

Distinguished Dignitaries and Speakers
The conference programme convened more than 200 industry speakers across 150+
presentations and 50+ conferences and sessions, spanning keynote addresses, ministerial
sessions, and industry panels. Distinguished dignitaries and speakers included:

  • Hon. Augustus Goosie Tannoh, Presidential Advisor on the 24-Hour Economy
  • Hon. Joseph Nikpe Bukari, Minister for Transport
  • Hon. Mrs. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West and
    Deputy Minister Designate for Works, Housing and Water Resources
  • Nana Opare Kwafo I, Host Chairman, Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry

    Three Days of High-Level Dialogue
  • Day 1 powered into Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy: financing, PPP models, energy systems,
    and EV mobility, anchored by Presidential Advisor Hon. Augustus Goosie Tannoh.
  • Day 2 focused on industry, innovation, and investment, featuring the EV ecosystem panel
    moderated by Franklin Amese, founder of Digital Alor, discussions on AfCFTA as a catalyst
    for growth, and a live Startup World Cup Pitch with the top 10 finalists.
  • Day 3 closed on sustainability, skills, and future growth, positioning Ghana as a regional
    hub for infrastructure, EV, and real estate capital.
    Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM)
    The participation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China
    (MOFCOM), including its opening remarks, reinforced GITW’s position as an
    internationally recognised trade and investment platform. MOFCOM’s presence
    strengthened China–Ghana–Africa cooperation by creating opportunities for investment,
    technology exchange, infrastructure development, and industrial partnerships.
    China’s engagement further highlighted GITW’s role as a bridge connecting global
    businesses with Africa’s growing markets and supporting long-term trade and economic
    collaboration.

Over 1,000 + B2B Meetings Deliver Measurable Commercial At the commercial heart of the event was its structured B2B matchmaking programme, which facilitated more than 1,000 pre-scheduled business meetings between exhibitors, hosted buyers, investors, and trade delegations. The programme connected Ghanaian enterprises with international suppliers, developers, financiers, and technology providers, generating over USD 50 million in potential business opportunities, partnerships,
and investment engagements.


Exhibitors across GITW, Africa Build Show, and Megawatt Africa reported strong outcomes, including new client acquisitions, sales opportunities, distribution agreements, and project partnerships secured during the three-day event. Many exhibitors confirmed that follow-up negotiations would continue beyond the show floor, reinforcing the event’s role as a deal-making platform rather than a display-only exhibition.


International Trade Council Delegation and Strategic MOU Signings

The International Trade Council (ITC) participated with more than 300 delegates from 33
countries significantly expanding the event’s international buyer and investor base. The
delegation’s presence culminated in the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding
between the ITC and leading Ghanaian institutions, establishing frameworks for trade
facilitation, capacity building, professional standards, and entrepreneurship development:

  • Affluence SKIMS (ASAP Education) and the International Trade Council
  • CEED Ghana and the International Trade Council
  • Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) and the International Trade Council
  • AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation (AfYEF) and the International Trade Council
  • Elizka Relief Foundation and the International Trade Council

These agreements are expected to convert the momentum of GITW 2026 into sustained institutional cooperation across education, enterprise development, surveying and land economy standards, youth entrepreneurship under the AfCFTA framework, and community development.


Startup World Cup – Ghana Regional
Organized in conjunction with Pegasus Tech Ventures, Startup World Cup is one of the world’s leading startup competitions, connecting entrepreneurs with investors, venture capital firms, and global technology leaders. The Ghana Regional Competition provided African startups with the opportunity to pitch live, gain international exposure, and compete for a place at the global finals. The 2026 Ghana Regional Competition was won by GrowForMe Limited, led by CEO Nana Opoku Agyeman-Prempeh.


E4Impact Foundation
E4Impact supports African entrepreneurs through business acceleration, innovation programmes, and investment readiness initiatives. As an ecosystem partner, it contribute to GITW’s innovation agenda by fostering collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders, while strengthening discussions on innovation and entrepreneurship
throughout the event.

The 2026 edition received extensive coverage from local and international media across online news, television, radio, print, and social media platforms, significantly amplifying the event’s visibility and global reach. The strong media engagement showcased key announcements, business opportunities, and event highlights to audiences worldwide, reinforcing Ghana Investment & Trade Week’s reputation as a leading platform for trade, investment, and international collaboration.
