Macao and Indonesia are strengthening economic ties through expanded cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, high technology, healthcare, and business services, creating new opportunities for cross border supply networks.
A recent economic, trade, and tourism investment seminar in Jakarta brought together more than 350 participants and generated over 120 business matching sessions, resulting in more than 80 cooperation agreements across multiple sectors.
The growing partnership positions Macao and Indonesia as important connections along regional trade routes, supporting greater movement of goods, services, investment, and business expertise. Cooperation in areas such as construction, transportation, tourism, Halal products, traditional Chinese medicine, and connectivity could further expand commercial links between the two markets.
Macao’s role as a bridge between mainland China and international markets also provides opportunities to connect Indonesian businesses with broader regional trade networks. Meanwhile, Indonesia’s growing economic and tourism links with Macao support increased business exchanges and market access.
With continued cooperation under regional development initiatives, Macao and Indonesia are building stronger connections across trade, investment, transportation, and supply chain networks, opening additional opportunities for businesses along the wider Asia trade corridor.
