Monrovia, Liberia – In an unprecedented move aimed at bolstering Liberia’s position in the international trade and logistics sector, the GLS Group has announced it will be hosting an Open Day for its Inland Storage & Distribution Facility (ISDF) on February 9th, 2023. Situated in the bustling Monrovia Industrial Park, this event marks a significant milestone for the country’s first commercial warehousing operation of this scale.

Spanning an impressive 5,000 square meters, the ISDF stands as a testament to Liberia’s growing capabilities in logistics and supply chain management. The facility boasts state-of-the-art features designed to meet the diverse needs of the global trading community, including temperature-controlled storage areas, a dedicated section for bonded cargo, and advanced fire prevention systems. In addition, the warehouse offers customs house brokerage services, commercial banking facilities, and automated loading bays, ensuring a seamless operational flow for all users.

The Open Day event is poised to provide a unique platform for prospective clients, stakeholders, and partners from across the globe to explore the extensive amenities offered by the ISDF. Attendees will have the opportunity to take a comprehensive tour of the facility, gaining firsthand insight into its operational efficiencies and the strategic advantages it presents for businesses looking to enhance their supply chain solutions in West Africa.

Moreover, the gathering will serve as a networking haven, enabling guests to connect with other industry professionals, discuss potential collaborations, and explore new business opportunities. In recognition of the event, GLS Group has also announced it will be offering special rates to clients with immediate cargo storage needs, further incentivizing participation and engagement.

The establishment of the ISDF and the upcoming Open Day underscore Liberia’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the international logistics arena. By introducing such a sophisticated warehousing solution, the GLS Group not only elevates the local infrastructure but also contributes significantly to the economic development of the region, positioning Liberia as a key player in global supply chains.

The International Trade Council applauds this initiative as a crucial step towards enhancing trade facilitation and logistics efficiency in Liberia, encouraging stakeholders from around the world to partake in this landmark event.
