The United States is expanding maritime cooperation across the Indo-Pacific, deploying six fast-response cutters to support safer and more resilient maritime operations in partnership with regional countries.

Operating from Singapore and the Philippines, the vessels are conducting activities focused on maritime law enforcement, fisheries protection, vessel safety, counter-narcotics operations, and joint training. The deployment is also strengthening coordination and interoperability among regional maritime forces.

The expanded presence supports safer sea lanes and more reliable trade flows across one of the world’s most important maritime regions. Through joint exercises and coordinated operations, participating countries are enhancing their ability to respond to maritime challenges and maintain secure shipping routes.

The deployment also builds on growing cooperation with countries including the Philippines, Japan, Canada, and Thailand, creating stronger regional partnerships and supporting a free, open, and stable Indo-Pacific.

For global supply chains, stronger maritime cooperation can help improve shipping security, port connectivity, fisheries management, and the resilience of critical trade routes.
