The Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®) is set to broaden its offerings in Mexico and Latin America starting September 2024. This expansion will include supply chain skill-building courses, ISM certification preparation programs, and executive-level events. The new programs will be available in both English and Spanish, enhancing ISM’s presence and impact in the region.
This move underscores the growing significance of supply chain management in Latin America and reinforces the global reach of ISM’s CPSM® certification. The expansion in Mexico will be implemented in partnership with Supplynity, an organization known for its CPO LATAM Conference and its role in the regional procurement community.
Tom Derry, ISM Chief Executive Officer, noted, “The Mexico and Latin American markets are crucial for supply chain management and represent a significant opportunity for expanding supply chain expertise. This expansion is a logical step for ISM and meets the regional demand for advanced supply chain training.”
Beginning in September 2024, skill-building courses will cover areas such as negotiation and financial analysis. Certification preparation courses are scheduled to launch in Mexico City in January 2025. An exclusive executive conference will also be held in Mexico City in November 2024.
Gabriel Rosales, Founder of Supplynity, stated, “Partnering with ISM, the leading organization in procurement, aligns with our goals of advancing procurement best practices and offering training and certification opportunities in Latin America.”
The collaboration with Supplynity aims to support ISM’s mission to enhance supply chain management practices locally and regionally. Further details on this initiative will be announced in August.
