New Delhi, India – 30 September 2026 — The International Trade Council (ITC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council of India (ESC), establishing a framework for cooperation to strengthen international trade, export development, capacity building, and access to global business opportunities.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the International Trade Council by Ms. Dhriti Mukherjee Pipil, ITC Chairperson in India, and on behalf of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council of India by Mr. Vikas Gupta, Addl. Executive Director.
The collaboration brings together two organisations committed to supporting businesses and exporters through trade education, export readiness, market intelligence, capacity building, trade facilitation, and international business connectivity.
Under the agreement, ITC and ESC will explore opportunities to collaborate on training programmes, webinars, workshops, knowledge-sharing initiatives, joint research, publications, trade events, conferences, and networking activities designed to support exporters and strengthen their ability to engage with international markets.
The partnership will also provide opportunities for eligible ESC members and exporters to access selected ITC platforms, resources, and capacity-building programmes, including initiatives focused on export readiness, trade data and market intelligence, professional development, and business certification.
A key element of the collaboration is the development of domestic training and implementation activities in India, coordinated through Ms. Dhriti Mukherjee Pipil and Global Trade Institute, supporting exporter onboarding, training, platform orientation, knowledge sessions, and ongoing implementation support.
The Parties also intend to explore opportunities for joint certification, international trade education, research and knowledge resources, and participation in relevant international conferences and business programmes, subject to mutually agreed programme terms.
“We are pleased to establish this collaboration with ESC and to create new opportunities for Indian exporters to strengthen their international trade capabilities. By combining knowledge, technology, training, and global networks, we can support businesses in becoming better prepared for international markets.” — Ms. Dhriti Mukherjee Pipil, ITC Chairperson in India
The International Trade Council looks forward to working closely with ESC to develop practical initiatives that support Indian exporters, encourage international business collaboration, and contribute to stronger global trade connections.
