An upcoming event organized by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) is set to delve into the latest advancements in humanoid robotics. The Humanoid Robot Forum, slated for Monday, October 7, will take place at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis, TN.
In conjunction with the well-established Autonomous Mobile Robots & Logistics Conference sponsored by FedEx, which will run from October 8 to 10 at the same venue, the Humanoid Robot Forum aims to spotlight the technological and application developments within the realm of humanoid robots.
A3’s President, Jeff Burnstein, highlighted the significance of the forum, stating, “With all of the new developments in humanoid robots, we believe the timing is right for the industry’s first humanoid robot forum.” The forum will feature discussions on the current state of the technology, its applications in logistics and manufacturing, and the future prospects of humanoid robots in various industries and daily life.
Keynote speakers for the event include Melonee Wise, Chief Product Officer of Agility Robotics, and Jeffrey Cardenas, CEO of Apptronik, with additional speakers to be announced later. Talks will cover enabling technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine vision, grasping and motion control, alongside safety considerations for humanoid robot applications.
Those interested in participating as speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, or attendees can find more information on the event’s website.
Additionally, A3 will host a panel discussion on Humanoid Robots on Wednesday, May 8, at Automate 2024 in Chicago. The session, open to all attendees, will take place on the show floor, where over 800 companies from around the world will exhibit robotics and automation products and solutions.
