GREW Solar Powers Rapid Growth as India’s Youngest Solar PV Leader

Founded in 2022 as part of the Chiripal Group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, GREW Solar has quickly established itself as India’s youngest and fastest-growing solar PV module manufacturer. In just three years, the company has grown into a key player in the renewable energy sector, blending technological excellence with environmental stewardship to meet India’s rising demand for clean energy.

GREW Solar has built an impressive portfolio of around 8 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity and 3 GW of solar cell, wafer, and ingot production equipped with TopCon technology. Its state-of-the-art R&D facility is capable of performing 25 different types of tests and proudly houses India’s first golden module chamber. As an A++ certified company, GREW Solar is positioned to take advantage of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List II policy set to take effect in 2026, beginning with 3 GW of solar cell capacity and planning to expand to 6 GW.

GREW Solar’s growth has been marked by notable milestones. The company currently operates a 3.0 GW PV module manufacturing capacity with plans to expand to 11 GW, alongside the development of an 8 GW PV cell facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. It has raised INR 300 crore from diverse investors to accelerate product development and infrastructure, while also planning a capital outlay of INR 2,800 crore to establish 3.6 GW of solar modules. GREW Solar has also launched its ALL-BLACK Series, tailored for the U.S. rooftop solar market.

The company has earned recognition on national and international stages, including the Asia’s Rising Star Award in 2024, the Gujarat State Best Employer Brand Award, Times Business Awards, and recognition as one of the Most Innovative Organizations in renewable energy. GREW Solar was also the 2nd Runner-Up for the ET NOW Machinist Super Shopfloor Awards (ESG – Large), highlighting its commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Today, GREW Solar employs more than 4,000 people and serves over 100 satisfied customers across India, Dubai, and the United States, achieving a 4.6/5.0 customer satisfaction rating. Its partnership with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) underscores the company’s focus on innovation, as the collaboration aims to advance research and excellence in photovoltaic technology.
