Solv Energy, a leading renewable energy company, announced the appointment of Lyn Cowgill as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Procurement in a press release dated January 7. In his new role, Cowgill will oversee the company’s procurement strategy and supply chain operations.
Cowgill joined Solv Energy in December 2024, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in operations, supply chain management, and procurement within the renewable energy and advanced technology sectors. Prior to his role at Solv Energy, Cowgill was Director of Sourcing at Nextracker, a solar energy technology company, where he managed supply chain strategy and supplier relationships for utility-scale power electronics. He has also held leadership positions at Entegris, a manufacturing company, and Sunrun, a solar energy provider.
In a statement, Solv Energy’s Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Deters, highlighted Cowgill’s appointment as a key step in transforming the company’s procurement strategy, which is expected to drive growth and generate cost savings for customers.
