A global shipping provider is expanding its digital services with new optional tools designed to help businesses improve shipment visibility, manage supply chain risks, and track transport related emissions.
The new risk management service monitors emerging developments that could affect shipments in the coming days or weeks. By combining internal and external data with expert analysis, it maps potential risks against active cargo movements and helps businesses identify shipments that may require additional planning.
The service can support earlier decision making, including securing alternative transportation capacity, adjusting inventory plans, and preparing contingency measures.
The provider is also integrating the risk management tool with digital platforms for shipment visibility and emissions reporting. The visibility platform offers real time tracking across ocean and air transportation, predictive arrival estimates, delay alerts, and analytics covering carrier performance, trade routes, lead times, detention, and demurrage.
The emissions platform calculates and consolidates Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions across different transportation modes, giving businesses a broader view of their logistics related environmental footprint.
The three services will be available as an optional integrated solution, allowing companies to combine risk management, shipment visibility, and emissions monitoring within their supply chain operations.
The new optional charges are set at US$15 per container for the risk management service and US$20 per container for the integrated service. Effective dates vary by market, beginning August 19, 2026, with additional markets following in September.
The development reflects the growing role of digital tools in improving supply chain visibility, planning, risk management, and sustainability reporting.
