Paris – DHL Supply Chain has announced an expansion of its logistics operations for the life sciences and healthcare sector in France. This growth comes through a long-term strategic partnership with Sanofi, a prominent global healthcare company. The collaboration will enhance warehousing, inventory management, picking and packing, and order fulfillment at three critical sites in France: Amilly Distribution, Croissy-Beaubourg, and Saint-Loubès. Hendrik Venter, Regional CEO for DHL Supply Chain EMEA, remarked on the expansion, stating, “This partnership extends our existing multi-country collaboration with Sanofi, leveraging our global reach and specialized expertise in healthcare to optimize customer supply chains and enhance resilience.”
Ruth Beadle, Head of Global Supply Chain for Sanofi, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential, noting, “Our collaboration with DHL will ensure the continued delivery of high-quality products in a sustainable manner from France, benefiting our customers and patients locally and globally.” DHL Supply Chain aims to improve the efficiency and quality standards of Sanofi’s logistics operations by using its extensive resources, investments, and international network in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. The partnership covers various segments, including pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, consumer health, vaccines, medical devices, clinical trials, hospitals, and healthcare establishments.
Nico Schütz, CEO of DHL Supply Chain France, added, “Our team is adept at managing the unique requirements of life science products, backed by robust infrastructure, technology, and a commitment to quality assurance and compliance with French regulations.” The partnership is set to not only impact the French market but also plays a crucial role in DHL’s strategy for growth in the EMEA region and its global operations in the life sciences and healthcare sector.
