The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Chili Project received an award at the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), which opened on November 26. The recognition was part of the Global Supply Chain Promotion Research Competition, held during the Trade Promotion Think Tank Exchange event.
Among the distinguished works, the report titled “Enhancing the Quality of Green Agricultural Supply Chains under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor: A Case Study of the Pakistan-China Chili Project” stood out, earning third place in the Business Advocacy Award category. The report was co-authored by Prof. Song Zhihui from Sichuan University’s Pakistan Study Center and Dr. Liu Yajing of China Agricultural University.
Prof. Song Zhihui expressed confidence in the project’s practical significance, emphasizing that the research highlights the vital role of green agriculture in global supply chains. He noted that green agriculture is crucial not only for improving product quality and supporting sustainable development but also for addressing environmental challenges and advancing agricultural modernization.
Dr. Liu Yajing added that the award reflects the success of innovative enterprises and underscores the potential for further agricultural cooperation within the framework of the CPEC initiative.
