Canada is investing $50 million to strengthen its agri-food supply chain, supporting innovation, domestic food production, and long-term supply chain resilience. The funding will help accelerate the commercialization of agri-food technologies, expand manufacturing and processing capacity, and improve food security while creating new economic opportunities.
The initiative is expected to generate more than 550 jobs and contribute over $1.8 billion to GDP, reinforcing Canada’s position as a leader in sustainable agri-food innovation. By boosting local production and advancing supply chain capabilities, the investment aims to enhance resilience against evolving trade, climate, and market challenges.
