Asia-Pacific logistics cooperation is gaining momentum as experts from several economies gathered in Tianjin, China, to discuss ways to advance regional connectivity, cross-border trade, and supply chain efficiency.
The August 25 technical exchange conference brought together more than 100 representatives from academia and industry to share insights on the development of more integrated and efficient logistics networks across the Asia-Pacific region.
Discussions highlighted opportunities to improve cross-border logistics corridors, streamline customs clearance, and expand the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. Participants also explored emerging areas including new energy vehicle logistics and digital solutions for international trade.
Key topics included China–Vietnam new energy vehicle supply chains, intelligent loading for export logistics, digitalized cross-border cold-chain networks, ASEAN logistics development, maritime connectivity, and logistics services supporting international industrial trade.
The exchange also emphasized stronger cooperation between governments, businesses, educational institutions, and logistics professionals. Greater coordination and technology adoption are expected to support more connected, efficient, and sustainable supply chain operations across the region.
As Asia-Pacific trade continues to expand, collaborative approaches to infrastructure, digitalization, customs facilitation, and intelligent logistics are becoming increasingly important in strengthening regional supply chain connectivity.
