ASEAN is strengthening efforts to connect micro, small and medium enterprises, smallholder farmers and low income workers more closely with regional supply chains. The initiative highlights inclusive business as an important part of building broader participation in ASEAN’s economic growth.
A regional forum in the Philippines will bring together government officials, business leaders and development partners to discuss ways to improve business capacity and expand access to commercial supply networks. Key discussions will cover market access, social procurement, cross border partnerships and regional capacity building.
The initiative builds on the ASEAN Framework for Talent and Institutional Development for Inclusive Business adopted in 2025. Participants will also examine how successful inclusive business models can be expanded across Southeast Asia and contribute to stronger regional supply networks.
Technical sessions will provide guidance on business coaching, procurement opportunities, impact measurement and inclusive business practices. These efforts are intended to help smaller enterprises participate more effectively in regional markets and higher value supply chains.
The forum will also highlight regional experiences and recognize business models that connect small farmers, local MSMEs and low income workers with broader commercial opportunities. Through these initiatives, ASEAN continues to develop more connected and inclusive regional supply chains.
