Allcargo Logistics has announced plans to develop a logistics park in Jhajjar, Haryana, aiming to address the growing container traffic in northern India. The facility is set to include multiple integrated components to streamline freight operations and enhance regional connectivity.
The logistics park will feature a free trade warehousing zone, a domestic tariff area (DTA), and a private rail-connected freight terminal to facilitate cargo movement via railways. Additionally, the facility will manage contract logistics for both inbound and outbound shipments, providing comprehensive supply chain solutions.
The project will span approximately 200 acres of freehold agricultural land strategically located near the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). The DFC connectivity will enable efficient handling of containerized freight, break bulk cargo, and contract logistics operations, strengthening the region’s logistics infrastructure.
Allcargo also plans to incorporate warehouse facilities for freight consolidation and distribution, enhancing its role as a container freight station. However, the company has not disclosed the financial specifics or timelines related to the project’s development.
This initiative reflects Allcargo’s commitment to advancing logistics infrastructure in northern India, leveraging the DFC’s connectivity to support regional trade growth.
