AdEnergy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has been awarded a power transmission project in Gujarat to support green hydrogen and ammonia manufacturing in Mundra. The ₹2,800 crore project is expected to be completed within 36 months, the company announced.
The initiative, titled “Transmission System for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Manufacturing Potential in Mundra, Gujarat,” includes an upgrade to the Navinal (Mundra) electrical substation with two large 765/400kV transformers. Additionally, a 75 km-long 765kV double-circuit transmission line will be constructed, connecting the Navinal substation to the Bhuj substation.
Upon completion, the project will contribute 150 cKM of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity to AESL’s infrastructure, increasing its total network to 25,928 cKM and 87,186 MVA. AESL secured the project under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism, with PFC Consulting Limited serving as the bid process coordinator. The project’s Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was formally transferred to AESL on March 20, 2025.
This marks AESL’s sixth project win of the fiscal year, bringing its total order book to ₹57,561 crore. The company, part of the Adani portfolio, has a strong presence in power transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions. AESL serves around 13 million consumers across Mumbai and the Mundra SEZ, while expanding its smart metering business to enhance energy distribution efficiency.
With a focus on green energy solutions, AESL continues to strengthen its role in India’s transition toward sustainable power infrastructure.
