The Australian Government has allocated $3.6 million in Moon to Mars supply chain capability grants to support five innovative space projects, advancing the nation’s role in global space technology development.
Among the recipients is South Australian company entX, which will receive $1 million to develop a radioisotope heater unit. This technology is designed to help payloads endure extreme lunar temperatures, significantly extending their operational lifespan.
“Our space industry continues to grow, driven by advanced manufacturing expertise and cutting-edge technology,” said Ed Husic, Minister for Industry and Science. “These investments strengthen Australia’s position in the global space supply chain.”
Enrico Palermo, Head of the Australian Space Agency, highlighted the grants’ impact: “Through this investment, we are helping Australian companies gain crucial space heritage and build strong customer relationships, enhancing collaboration on the global stage.”
The initiative is expected to boost Australia’s presence in international space programs, fostering innovation and commercial opportunities within the global Moon to Mars mission.
