On January 10th, 2025, a successful Startup Investor Meet was held in Nashik, Maharashtra, in celebration of National Startup Week. The event, organized by CE Shreekant Patil, Chairman of the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce Committee (MACCIA), aimed to provide local entrepreneurs with global investment opportunities and foster a thriving startup ecosystem in Nashik.
Held at the MACCIA office from 11 AM to 6 PM, the event attracted a wide array of local startups eager to secure investment for their innovative ideas. The gathering offered a unique opportunity for these entrepreneurs to engage with international investors and explore potential funding options for scaling their businesses. The event featured a detailed session led by Shri Sanjay Sonawane, Vice President of MACCIA, who provided invaluable guidance on navigating the startup landscape.
The event’s highlight was the participation of investors from Qatar. Mr. Abhishek Kute and Mr. Pramod, representatives from a prominent Qatar-based venture capital firm, were present to explore potential investment opportunities in Nashik’s growing startup community. Their involvement underscores the global interest in Nashik’s emerging entrepreneurial sector, and the opportunity for local startups to connect with international investors.
The Startup Investor Meet was an important step in building connections between local entrepreneurs and global investment networks, contributing to the broader vision of CE Shreekant Patil and MACCIA to establish a robust startup ecosystem in Nashik. The event also served to promote future initiatives aimed at supporting local startups and enhancing their visibility on the international stage.
As part of ongoing efforts to foster the growth of startups in the region, MACCIA plans to organize similar events in the future, creating a platform for continuous dialogue and collaboration between entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders. These initiatives are expected to play a crucial role in positioning Nashik as a vibrant hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Among the attendees were startup founders including Yash Bhavsar, Sagar Asawar, Dr. Avinash Datar, Pushkraj Salunkhe, Atul Patil, and Nikhil Rajput, who engaged with the Qatar-based investors to explore funding opportunities and build lasting partnerships. Also present were key figures from MACCIA, including Deputy Secretary Avinash Pathak and Advisor Dilip Salvekar, who contributed to the success of the event.
The Startup Investor Meet serves as a promising example of how collaboration between local entrepreneurs and international investors can accelerate the growth of Nashik’s startup ecosystem, creating new opportunities for innovation, economic development, and global market access.
