Royal Caribbean International has announced a partnership with two architectural firms, ArchVenture Company Ltd., based in Nassau, and global firm Stantec, to design the upcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas, set to open in late 2025. This beach experience will blend Bahamian-inspired elements with sustainable design practices. ArchVenture, known for its culturally rich and locally inspired designs, will collaborate with Stantec, recognized globally for its innovative environmental and sustainable projects. Together, they aim to create a beach club experience that highlights the natural beauty of The Bahamas while prioritizing environmental responsibility.
“We are excited to work with both ArchVenture and Stantec, two firms with exceptional records in design and sustainability,” said Philip Simon Jr., president of Royal Beach Club and Royal Caribbean International Bahamas. “Their combined expertise will ensure the Royal Beach Club reflects Bahamian culture while integrating eco-friendly practices.” The 17-acre beach club will focus on six key sustainability commitments: zero waste-to-landfill, renewable energy use, no dredging or overwater structures, advanced wastewater treatment, habitat protection, and continuous environmental monitoring. These initiatives aim to preserve the local environment while offering visitors an authentic Bahamian experience.
Construction began in April, and the project aims to create a beach day experience featuring private cabanas, pools, local architecture, and Bahamian food, music, and artisan crafts. The club will also support the local economy through hiring and a public-private partnership that allows Bahamians to own up to 49% equity in the project.
