Logan Paul Announces CryptoZoo Refunds, Subjects Claimants to No-Lawsuit Condition

Logan Paul has pledged over $2.3 million to refund users who purchased NFTs through CryptoZoo, a Pokémon-inspired NFT game launched in 2021. However, the catch is that claimants must agree not to sue him in exchange for the refund. Paul made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter), inviting claims until February 8.

Paul clarified that he personally did not profit from the CryptoZoo project and expressed disappointment that the game was not delivered. Eligible claimants will receive 0.1 ETH per NFT, but hybrid animals resulting from NFT breeding are not covered by the buy-back program.

The terms also specify that any NFTs deemed ineligible by Paul will not be returned. To qualify for a refund, claimants must waive any claims against Paul, refraining from legal action related to CryptoZoo.

Logan Paul, currently facing a class-action lawsuit for alleged cryptocurrency promotion, has also filed a cross-claim, asserting that he has initiated legal action against those he deems responsible for the CryptoZoo project’s failure. Paul’s buy-back program is seen by experts as an attempt to minimize potential damages from the class-action lawsuit.

Despite the refund offer, Paul maintains that the Zoo Token associated with CryptoZoo was not meant as an investment vehicle, and the buy-back is intended to make amends for players who intended to engage in the CryptoZoo game.
