A major logistics investment is set to strengthen air cargo and healthcare supply chain capabilities across key markets in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas, with more than $2 billion allocated to new and expanded facilities.
The investment includes a new air hub at Clark International Airport in the Philippines, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, alongside an expanded facility in Hong Kong and a larger automated hub at Incheon International Airport in South Korea. These facilities are designed to improve the movement of imports, exports and transshipment cargo while supporting faster connections across regional trade corridors.
Healthcare logistics is also receiving greater attention, with 27 temperature-controlled facilities being developed or expanded to support pharmaceuticals, biologics and other sensitive products. These facilities enable cargo to move between aircraft, ground transportation and temporary storage while maintaining required temperature conditions.
The Clark facility is expected to strengthen connections between the Philippines and wider Asia-Pacific markets, supporting express shipments, healthcare products and supply chain operations. Meanwhile, expanded processing capacity in Incheon is expected to improve customs clearance and delivery timelines for shipments entering the Seoul region.
The broader investment strategy also includes freight forwarding, customs brokerage, distribution and cold-chain capabilities. By bringing multiple logistics functions together, the expanded network aims to provide greater visibility, streamlined cargo handling and more integrated international trade services.
The developments highlight the growing role of air cargo infrastructure, cold-chain logistics and digitalized logistics networks in supporting time-sensitive industries, particularly healthcare, technology, automotive and industrial sectors.
