A newly announced £360 million UK–Saudi investment package is set to create nearly 190 jobs and deepen commercial ties between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, with significant implications for logistics, transport decarbonisation and cross-border business networks. The deal was unveiled at the Great Futures Summit in London, reflecting expanding economic cooperation between the two nations.
Under the investment package, £150 million-plus in Saudi capital will flow into the UK economy, supporting new operations and two new headquarters in London:
- A new London headquarters for a major Saudi industrial group to serve as a global hub for its transport decarbonisation business, tied to an estimated £94 million investment and the creation of around 80 skilled jobs in sectors aligned with sustainable freight and logistics.
- A European headquarters for International Investment Gate, with a 17-member team overseeing approximately £550 million in UK assets under management and launching a £60 million UK property fund that may support industrial and logistics real estate investment.
The broader package also includes several commercial commitments with supply-chain relevance, such as the expansion of professional services operations and the establishment of new business units in both nations. While some announcements concern activities outside logistics, they collectively signal stronger bilateral business networks that can facilitate cross-sector trade and investment flows involving freight, infrastructure and support services.
Officials highlight that the investment build-out is part of a wider UK strategy to attract foreign capital, stimulate employment and complement domestic industrial goals — including the UK’s push toward net-zero transport and advanced logistics solutions. This strategy builds on earlier deals between the nations that have already generated thousands of jobs and enhanced access to Gulf capital and markets for British businesses.
