The 5th Exhibition of HCM City and Friendship Provinces and Cities is taking place in Savannakhet from April 2 to 6, aiming to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The event plays a key role in fostering partnerships between localities in both countries, with the active participation of businesses expected to unlock new opportunities and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
The Vice Governor of Savannakhet, Saensak Soulisak, emphasized the exhibition’s importance in promoting trade collaboration, helping businesses connect, share experiences, and explore investment opportunities. The event also serves as a platform to showcase local products to a broader market.
This year’s expo features approximately 250 booths and has attracted over 50 enterprises from seven Lao provinces, as well as Vietnamese businesses from Australia, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. Over 130 companies from Vietnam’s Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Long An, Gia Lai, and HCM City are displaying a variety of products, including handicrafts, jewelry, wooden furniture, home décor, agricultural goods, and food.
A key event of the expo is the Laos-Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Conference, which aims to facilitate business networking, discuss investment policies, and provide insights into priority sectors. The conference is expected to strengthen trade and investment ties, further deepening the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
