Charbel Abi Antoun is a distinguished legal professional and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in corporate law, banking, finance, and insurance. As the Founder and Board Representative of Claims SAL, he has spearheaded the development of Lebanon’s first end-to-end third-party motor claims administration platform. Mr Abi Antoun is also the Founder and Managing Partner of Beirut Law Firm, an establishment consistently recognised by the credit rating agency AM Best as a premier insurance law practice in the region. His dual expertise allows him to navigate the complex intersection of legal strategy and insurance operations with precision.

Throughout his career, Mr Abi Antoun has remained a vocal advocate for modernisation within the insurance sector. He frequently contributes to international industry discourse, including high-profile webinars regarding insurance panel counsel. He maintains that the claims process represents the “moment of truth” for insurers, where policyholder trust is either solidified or lost. By championing the integration of legal mechanisms directly into digital workflows, he ensures that dispute resolution and compliance are embedded into the very fabric of claims handling, thereby reducing friction and enhancing transparency for all stakeholders.

His professional background is rooted in a deep understanding of international taxation, insurance recovery, and cross-border corporate governance. This foundation has enabled him to lead Claims SAL in creating a fraud-resistant digital environment that addresses the inefficiencies of traditional claims handling. His leadership is characterised by a commitment to using cutting-edge technology to solve long-standing legal and administrative challenges within the insurance industry.

Organisation

Claims SAL is a pioneering LegalTech and insurance service provider headquartered in Hazmieh, Lebanon. The company specialises in digitising the traditional motor claims lifecycle, from the initial First Notice of Loss to final settlement or repair. By utilising a strategic partnership with Qapter by Solera, the platform employs advanced artificial intelligence for photo-based damage detection and automated cost estimation. This technological integration allows the firm to reduce claims settlement turnaround times from several days to just a few hours. As the only end-to-end third-party administrator in Lebanon, Claims SAL provides a robust framework that serves insurers, repair networks, and policyholders through a unified, transparent workflow.

By participating in the sessions at the House of Lords and Guildhall, he aims to share insights on navigating legal complexities in global trade while identifying potential partners for technological exchange and export growth.
