Riyadh, October 29, 2024 – Saudi Arabia has launched its first Global Corporate Social Responsibility Forum, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development under the theme “From Commitment to Impact.” The event, held in Riyadh, aims to foster dialogue on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and promote sustainable development through collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmad Al Rajhi emphasized the forum’s objective of serving as a platform for knowledge sharing and innovation in CSR practices. He highlighted the importance of integrating technology, sustainable digitization, and circular economic principles to enhance corporate engagement in social responsibility initiatives.
Saudi Arabia has implemented various initiatives to support CSR, including establishing a Social Responsibility Committee, launching a National Transparency Platform, designating March 23 as Social Responsibility Day, and introducing a National Social Responsibility Index to assess corporate contributions to sustainable development.
The forum brings together leaders from various industries to explore growth opportunities, innovation, and global partnerships in CSR. Discussions are focused on advancing corporate contributions to social and environmental development while strengthening international cooperation in responsible business practices.
