Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Global CSR Forum is set to take place in Riyadh on October 28-29, bringing together international experts to discuss corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. The event aims to foster discussions, share global best practices, and explore solutions for enhancing innovation and competitiveness in the CSR sector.
The two-day forum will feature over 100 speakers from various industries worldwide, with a focus on deepening understanding of CSR principles and empowering businesses to implement sustainable and responsible practices.
Mubarak Al-Bogami, director general of the social responsibility department at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, highlighted the forum’s role in advancing CSR efforts at both local and global levels.
“The forum is designed to enhance corporate social responsibility initiatives within Saudi Arabia while also providing an international platform for businesses to collaborate and share best practices,” Al-Bogami stated. “It serves as a catalyst for change by fostering partnerships and encouraging businesses to adopt socially responsible models that benefit both communities and corporate growth.”
The forum’s agenda includes discussions on the role of the public sector in supporting CSR, responsible business models, capacity building, and leveraging technology to improve social and environmental impact. Additionally, sessions will cover compliance standards, CSR best practices, and case studies from various industries.
According to Al-Bogami, the event will contribute to the development of a knowledge-driven approach to CSR by promoting the latest advancements and refining best practices.
“The forum aims to instill a culture of corporate social responsibility across industries, facilitate strategic partnerships, and support individuals in acquiring specialized CSR skills,” he added.
Saudi Arabia has launched several initiatives to promote CSR, including the designation of March 23 as Social Responsibility Day, which has received international recognition. The Kingdom has also made significant progress in global competitiveness rankings, particularly in CSR-related metrics. The 2024 Competitiveness Report by the IMD World Competitiveness Center ranked Saudi Arabia 16th globally in social responsibility.
The forum is expected to provide Saudi companies with insights into international CSR strategies while strengthening local efforts. Experts from different sectors will share knowledge and experiences to support the adoption of best practices in corporate social responsibility.
The event reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering CSR initiatives and aligning with broader global efforts to promote sustainable business practices and community engagement.
