New Partnership Announced Between ZIM and MSC on Transpacific Trade Routes

ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (ZIM) and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) have agreed to work together for three years to improve their operations along a number of Transpacific trade routes. Anticipated to start in February 2025, the cooperation will concentrate on six routes that link the United States with Asia. East Coast and the U.S. Gulf Coast, pending regulatory approvals.

The collaboration is aimed at enhancing ZIM’s service offerings by expanding port coverage and improving operational efficiency. ZIM’s updated network will provide broader access for its customers and streamline its shipping services.

Additionally, ZIM and MSC have agreed to share vessels and trade slots in this agreement, which reflects both businesses’ continuous efforts to become more competitive in the market.
