OACP IE LTD, a medical biotech company specializing in innovative DNA testing solutions for cancer diagnosis, has been chosen as one of the 250 emerging companies from 85 countries to participate in the 2024 Entrepreneurship World Cup. This prestigious competition aims to provide global exposure and investment opportunities to pioneering startups.
Enrico Di Oto, CEO of OACP IE LTD, expressed enthusiasm about the selection: “Being selected for the Entrepreneurship World Cup is an incredible opportunity to showcase our groundbreaking technology on a global stage. We are eager to connect with international investors and partners who share our vision of revolutionizing cancer diagnosis.”
The Entrepreneurship World Cup is co-hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, Monsha’at. Supported by over 100 global partners, the competition is recognized as one of the largest and most diverse pitch events worldwide. It attracts tens of thousands of entrepreneurs annually from 200 countries, competing for US$1 million in cash prizes and substantial investment, support, and publicity.
The “EWC 250” includes companies that have progressed through national and regional qualifiers or have been selected from a global pool of startups. OACP IE LTD will participate in a three-day bootcamp, with the top 100 companies advancing to the Global Finals, scheduled for November 5-9 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during Biban 24.
Jonathan Ortmans, president of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, commented on the competition’s impact: “These companies are headed by brilliant teams at the top of their fields. We are here to help them reach their growth potential as they advance through the competition and become part of the GEN family regardless of whether or not they top the podium.”
The Entrepreneurship World Cup offers a range of opportunities for companies at various stages, including idea-stage, early-stage, and growth-stage. Participants also compete in specialized categories such as health and wellness, economies of the future, energy and industrial leadership, and sustainable environment and supply of essential needs.
Since its inception in 2019, the Entrepreneurship World Cup has garnered more than 430,000 registrations from 200 countries and provided founders with over US$4 million in cash prizes and an additional US$266 million in free support and services.
